Owner - Cassandra Thuneman has been actively involved with orchestral repair and restoration since 1986. After managing one of the largest string shops in Illinois she started her own repair shop in 1994.
With a degree in Music Education from Illinois Wesleyan University Cassandra decided to focus her attention to student needs and interests along with repairs and restorations.
Mary Frances Starr is probably the first person you talk to when contacting Cassandra Strings
She is there to help with orders, questions on your billing and any other general questions you may have.
Marino De Valle is one of our repair technicians. He is in charge of making sure that all the repairs and restoration is of the highest quality.
Alex Swartz is our junior apprentice.
He has a desire to learn all aspects of repair to that of making.
George Blogg is our Road Rep. He has accumulated a wealth of teaching knowledge and is taking that to the road.
