Cassandra Strings Instrument Rental Agreement
MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT: Cassandra Strings offers an optional maintenance
policy to cover damage and or theft. This policy will cover comprehensive repair
for the rented instrument in all damage except that which is caused by
negligence. This fee also provides greater coverage to the renter towards
replacement if the instrument is destroyed. This fee is $2.00 per month for violin
& viola and $5.00 per month for cello & bass. This fee does not apply towards
rental credit. Appearance damages (i.e. scratches, dents, and finish) are not covered in
so far as they do not hamper the functioning of the instrument. Cassandra
Strings must perform all repair work. Anyone other than Cassandra Strings
should not be requested or permitted to work on the instrument for the renter
would be responsible for any resulting damage and the cost to correct any repairs
deemed inadequate. If the renter declines this optional coverage, the renter shall
be responsible for any and all repairs or replacement at standard prices.
MAINTENANCE FEE COVERAGE: Provided that all rental payments are prompt
and current, this agreement offers the following coverage:
· Free periodic check-ups and minor adjustments due to normal usage -
tuning not included.
· Non-negligent damage by repairing or replacing.
· Bow Rehair as necessary.
· Loss due to burglary with visible sign of force and police report filed.
· Strings breakage is included.
Items not covered include:
· Negligent care or mishandling that results in extensive damage.
· Loss due to fire, flood, earthquake, or other natural disaster.
LATE FEES: A late charge of $7.00 per month will be charged for all accounts
that are 10 days past due; $15 for each bounced check. If the renter's account is
past due 30 days, and if the renter fails to respond to relevant inquiries by
Cassandra Strings, Cassandra Strings has the right to terminate maintenance and
this agreement. The customer then becomes liable for the full retail cost to
replace the instrument, including all reasonable legal fees and cost for collection.
Cassandra Strings may take possession of the instrument wherever found, at
school or elsewhere, with or without the knowledge of the renter. Return of the
Rental Instrument cancels this agreement and voids all rental credit. CASSANDRA
STRINGS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO USE ANY CREDIT CARD OR BANK
ACCOUNT LISTED WITHOUT NOTIFICATION TO COLLECT SAID CHARGES
PAST 30 DAYS.
BANKRUPTCY: In the event of bankruptcy by the renter, the rental property
remains the sole property of Cassandra Strings and must be returned
immediately. Any rental credit may still be used towards the purchase of an
outfit as described above with any balance due in full at that time.
ACCOUNT CREDIT: The rental instrument is not for sale, However, 100% of
all of your rental payments (excluding maintenance fees) can be applied to the
price of a new or reconditioned instrument from our shop. Current manufacturer's
suggested retail prices or fair market value will be used in all rental credit sales
and rental credit must be applied to the purchase within 30 days of return of the
rental instrument. Account must be kept current or all rental credit will be
forfeited in addition your last payment must not be more than 30 days
