A perfect classical bass! The Jiri Pavolny Ceruti Model Bass is an orchestral instrument from the Specialty Violin shop of Jiri Pavolny in Prague.
The Jiri Pavolny Ceruti Model Bass has a two piece top of fine seasoned European Medium Grain Spruce, and the flat back is two piece sectional of highly seasoned European slab cut Poplar with slight figure. The ribs are of matching character Poplar to that of the back, and the neck and scroll are both carved from a single piece of moderate figured maple. The Varnish is a reddish brown color, antiqued in nature. The gears are Tyrolean wooden knobbed individual brass tuners. This bass offers an "old world" quality of sound , with great depth and projection in all registers. Set up with Pirastro Obligato strings, high quality French bridge with built in adjusters, ebony tailpiece with kevlar rope tailwire for openness and power.
