The Didier Nicolas Violin is a (circa 1816) original work of Didier Nicolas, whose workshop D. Nicolas Aine grew to become one of the most successful violin companies of Mirecourt. The top instruments were meticulously crafted by Nicolas himself and patterned after a personally modified Stradivarius model, and always bearing his signature. Great experience and attention to detail can be seen in the most accurately cut f-holes and the precision of the delicate purfling. Having a resonant but dominant sound, this violin has been serving excellent handed players for almost 200 years and is offered with papers from Lyon and Healy 1944.
