The Karl Thunemann Prelude Violins are carefully constructed to our specifications in Beijing and sent to our Algonquin workshop. Upon arrival at our workshop, they are given a professional set-up by our craftsmen. Karl Thunemann series instruments produce a higher tonal quality at a more competitive price.
The Karl Thunemann Prelude Violin includes a seasoned spruce top; seasoned maple back, ribs and scroll with moderately high flame; 2 piece backs, inlaid purfling; shaded oil varnish with minor antiquing; ebony fittings; D'Addario Kaplan AMO strings, and a Wittner composite tailpiece with 4 built in fine tuners. Karl Thunemann instruments are dressed and tonally adjusted in our Algonquin workshop.
Please note: Varnish color and antiquing may differ from the picture above. These instruments are hand made and we allow our makers to choose the best color to bring out the true beauty of the wood and instrument.
